DRY WELL CALIBRATOR FOR LOW TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS

The Fluke 9190A Ultra-Cool dry-well calibrator is the most accurate and stable cold temperature dry well calibrator on the market. The dry well is ideal for applications that require strict quality control and regulatory compliance. The 9190A dry well calibrator has a wide temperature range from -95 °C to 140 °C. The dry block covers most pharmaceutical, biotech and food applications. Typical applications are the calibration of temperature sensors used with process control devices such as medical freezers, laboratory refrigerators and freezers, biobanks, steam-in-place (SIP), sterilizers/autoclaves and freeze dryers.

MOST STABLE COLD TEMPERATURE DRY WELL ON THE MARKET

Important parameters for evaluating a dry well calibrator are accuracy, stability and axial as well as radial homogeneity. The Fluke 9190A dry well calibrator offers class-leading temperature stability. It has a stability of ±0.015 °C and a display accuracy of ±0.2 °C over the entire temperature range. If the dry block is used with an external temperature reference, it is accurate to ±0.05 °C. The active control of the heating zone is used to compensate for temperature differences between the zones. This minimizes axial or vertical temperature gradients.

The dry well calibrator is suitable for clean rooms as the 9190A is small and weighs only 16 kg. Built-in handles on the front and back make it easy to carry. The clean room stays clean as there is no risk of spillage and the dry block does not give off any vapors.

AUTOMATED CALIBRATION WITH UP TO EIGHT SETPOINTS

All controls and inputs are easily accessible on the front panel. With the temperature ramp and holding time function, the 9190A dry well calibrator is ramped up to the programmed target temperatures and stabilized so that data can be recorded easily and automatically during calibration. The stability display shows when the block temperature is stable within the limits defined by the user.

USB and RS232 communication interfaces allow remote control of the dry well from a computer.

OPTIONAL PROCESS ELECTRONICS

The 9190A cryogenic dry well calibrator is available with optional process functions. These include a 4..20 mA measuring input and a 24 V DC supply voltage. An input for PRTs and RTDs in 4-wire connection enables the connection of 4, 3 or 2-wire PRTs or RTDs with an accuracy of ±0.02 °C. A thermocouple input accepts standard mini-jack plug thermocouples.

An input for the reference thermometer reads its measured values with an accuracy of ±0.01 °C at -95 °C. The temperature control of the dry block 9190A can thus be transferred from the internal sensor to the external reference probe. This feature minimizes errors due to axial temperature gradients, especially when the reference thermometer is inserted to the same depth as the unit under test. This is particularly relevant for calibrations of short temperature sensors that do not reach to the bottom of the insert hole.
