The Fluke 9170 Series temperature calibrators are the best performing dry block calibrators on the market. They have a temperature range from –45 °C to 700 °C and thus cover the main applications in the pharmaceutical, biotech, food and aviation industries. The temperature calibrators achieve a stability of ±0.005 °C, comparable to that of calibration baths. An immersion depth of up to 203 mm and a two-zone heating system minimize axial temperature gradients. The connection of a temperature reference further increases the measurement accuracy.

BUILT-IN REFERENCE THERMOMETRY

Fluke Calibrations is known for its excellent reference thermometers, such as the Fluke 1502 thermometer . To achieve an even higher level of accuracy, the dry-well calibrators are available with integrated electronics for reading of external PRTs with ITS-90 characteristics.

This optionally integrated input accepts 100, 25 and 10 ohm PRTs and reads temperature values from the connected reference probes with an accuracy of ±0.006 °C at 0 °C to ±0.027 °C at 661 °C. The dry block calibrators are compatible with all Fluke PRT reference probes. These are connected to the dry block via a 5-pin DIN plug.

The process electronics accept ITS-90 characterization coefficients from reference thermometers. This makes it possible to benefit from the accuracy of the reference thermometer. The temperature calibrators are supplied with a traceable, accredited calibration certificate, which increases the reliability of the measurements.

DATA STORAGE ON PC

All four temperature calibrator models are supplied with a serial RS-232 interface and the calibration software 9930 Interface-it.

All dry-well calibrators are also compatible with the more extensive calibration software 9938 MET / TEMP II. This software enables fully automated calibration of resistance thermometers, thermocouples and thermistors.

PROGRAMMING & DISPLAY

A large LCD display, a numeric keypad and on-screen menus ensure intuitive operation of the Fluke temperature calibrators. The display shows the temperature of the block and the built-in reference thermometer as well as the stability criteria and ramp speed.

Four calibration recipes with up to eight temperature setpoints with a corresponding holding time and ramp time between the calibration points can be programmed in the temperature calibrator.
