TEMPERATURE VALIDATION SYSTEM WITH 64 CHANNELS
64-channel thermal mapping and validation system
The new temperature validation system with thermocouples was designed using the latest technology for thermal validation in the GMP environment. The cable system has a large touch screen for independent operation of the thermal validation system. There is no need to bring a laptop into cleanroom environments for programming and reading out the measurement data. The built-in, rechargeable battery protects the device from sudden power failures and makes it independent of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
64 independent channels
Each thermocouple is mounted on a separate connector, which has its own cold junction compensation and serial number. The conversion of the analogue to digital signal takes place in each individual plug. The device itself therefore only processes digital signals. This has the following advantages:
- The scan rate is 1 second for all 64 channels
- Each thermocouple is automatically recognized, regardless of the plug position
- The calibration constants are saved in the plug for every pre-calibration
- An annual calibration of the system is not necessary as each plug has an A/D converter.
Use of a wide variety of sensors
A wide variety of sensors can be used with the temperature mapping system:
- Thermocouples of any kind (T, K, J, etc.)
- PT 100/1000 sensors
- Pressure transmitters and humidity sensors
- Analog sensors 0...10V, 4...20mA
Calibrations of sensors
Calibration references (Lives, Kaye IRTD, Fluke) and temperature sources (Jofra, Fluke, Sika, Kaye, Isotech) can be connected directly to the validation system and controlled by it. Close-loop calibrations can therefore be carried out automatically and without a computer.
Data integrity and modern IT infrastructure
The thermocouple system can be integrated into a network via USB, Ethernet or WiFi or communicate with a PC. The validation software is validated and 21CFR Part 11 compliant. The qualification can be carried out by the user or by Bakrona using the qualification protocols. The measurement data is stored in a SQL database that is installed locally or on a central server.
