MICROBIOLOGICAL AIR SAMPLING SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUS MONITORING
The fixed air sampling heads are mounted at critical GMP places, often next to the isocinetic sampling probes of particle counters (non-viable sampling). Before starting the measurement, a nutrient surface (agar-plate) is placed in the 90mm plate holder. After starting the measurement, a flow measurement is activated by turning on a remote vacuum pump or a vacuum valve.
For software controlled Remote ActiveCount systems, the measuring time can be preset from 1 to 180 minutes per measurement period.
MANUALLY OR SOFTWARE CONTROLLED SAMPLING
A remote start / stop switch is used to activate sampling at a distance. The start/stop signal is sent to a controller, which switches the air flow on or off.
Remote ActiveCount can be integrated into a facility monitoring system in combination with particle counters and environmental sensors. Sampling is software automated, with a manual override to pause, restart or stop automatic sampling. Manual control is available from any location in the monitoring system using touchscreens, remote start/stop switches or base units with built-in start/stop sample buttons.

MODULAR SYSTEM WITH SMALL FOOTPRINT
The use of standard sample tubing and an isokinetic probe over the sampling head allows the monitoring next to critical operations in areas too small or inconvenient for standard mounting techniques.
Depending on the model, the sampling head can be wall- or tripod mounted or placed on a level surface close to a monitoring point.
HIGH COLLECTION EFFICIENCY
The air sampling head captures microbiologically viable particles onto a standard petri dish with suitable media. The easy to load design and impaction pattern of the sampling head assure optimum biological and physical capture efficiency in accordance with ISO 14698-1 and prevent false positive results. The atrium ensures the correct impact velocity for particles down to approximately 1.0 µm, while ensuring viability by avoiding mechanical damage.
